The Ricky Stuart Foundation was created in 2011 by NRL coach and ex-player Ricky Stuart and his wife Kaylie after his family faced the challenges thousands of others face when their daughter Emma was diagnosed with Autism at 11 years old.

Over the last 10 years the Foundation has fundraised, developed and built two state of the art respite houses in the ACT:

• Ricky Stuart House (respite for children ages 5 -12) opened 2016;
• Emma Ruby House (respite for young adults ages 13-18) opened 2018.

The work of the Foundation would not be possible without the generosity and support of business leaders. The committee and management are the driving force behind the Foundation’s success.

The foundation’s goal is to:

• Raise awareness of autism both locally and nationally;
• Raise funds to build state of the art respite facilities and homes for individuals living with a disability locally; and
• Support individuals and families nationally through the development of better practice, sustainable respite/housing blueprint.
